Bringing Dr. McKanna and Dr. Reed onto our team means you can continue receiving the same trusted care you have relied on, now with the added support of a larger specialist team. Patients can expect continuity of treatment plans, expanded services, and a convenient new home at our Bloomingdale office just a short drive from Itasca.

Dr. Alexander McKanna, DPM, is a board-qualified podiatric surgeon with expertise in advanced limb preservation procedures, rearfoot and ankle reconstruction, diabetic wound care, and pediatric podiatry. He also serves as Director of Podiatric Residency Graduate Medical Education, reflecting the depth of his surgical expertise and commitment to excellent patient outcomes.

Dr. Daniel Reed, DPM, brings specialized training in rearfoot reconstruction, trauma, and Charcot reconstruction, with a particular focus on nerve-related pathologies and nerve reconstruction. He is known for taking the time to explain each treatment plan clearly and helping patients choose the option that is truly best for their individual case.

Dr. McKanna and Dr. Reed will continue seeing patients at both of our Suburban Foot & Ankle Center locations.

Do I need to do anything to transfer my care? No—your records move with your doctor. Simply schedule your next appointment at our Bloomingdale or Hoffman Estates location.

Can I still get a same-day appointment? Yes—we offer same-day appointments and walk-ins across our Elmhurst and Bloomingdale locations, with on-site X-rays and flexible scheduling.

What if I have an upcoming appointment already scheduled? Our office will reach out directly to confirm or reschedule any upcoming visits at the new Bloomingdale location.
